Railway HistoryRailway Station
Ahlen (Westfalen) station sits on the electrified four-track Hamm–Minden main line connecting the Ruhr region to Hanover. The route was originally operated by the Köln-Mindener Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft, one of Prussia's early long-distance private railways in the 19th century, before passing to Deutsche Bahn. Today it functions as a regional stop with no particular tourist draw.
