Zakopane

Zakopane station is a terminus railway station in the Polish mountain resort of Zakopane, opened in 1899 as the endpoint of the Chabówka–Zakopane line. It provides connections to Kraków and Katowice in approximately two hours. It should not be confused with the so-called Tatra Station, the former seat of the Polish Tatra Society. For most visitors it functions as a practical arrival point for the High Tatra mountains rather than a destination in its own right.
