The Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount in Bandra is one of Mumbai's most beloved Marian shrines — a Neo-Gothic church from the early 20th century overlooking the sea. Every September the "Bandra Fair" draws hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from across India. Remarkably ecumenical, the shrine is visited by Hindus and Muslims alongside Christians, making it a living symbol of Mumbai's religious pluralism.
