The Workers' Stadium was built in 1959 as one of the "Ten Great Buildings" marking the People's Republic of China's 10th anniversary and served for decades as Beijing's premier football venue. Demolished in 2020, it was rebuilt and reopened in April 2023 with a capacity of 65,000.
