Benson State Recreation Area

Benson State Recreation Area is an Oregon Parks-managed nature reserve in Multnomah County, tucked along the I-84 corridor roughly a mile west of Multnomah Falls. The Latourell and Youngs Creeks wind through the park before emptying into the Columbia River, giving the area a lush, riparian character typical of the Columbia River Gorge. Adjacent to Shepperd's Dell and Guy W. Talbot State Parks, the site connects into a broader network of trails through the Gorge. It sees far fewer visitors than the nearby falls, making it a quieter option for picnicking, fishing, and riverside swimming.
