Bern

Swiss federal city and capital of Canton Bern - cradled in a spectacular loop of the Aare river. Its medieval old town has been UNESCO World Heritage since 1983: six kilometres of arcaded walkways, the Zytglogge clock tower with astronomical clock, the Cathedral terraces, the Bear Park - one of Europe most impressive old towns.
