Berri-UQAM

Berri-UQAM is the central interchange hub of the Montreal Métro, situated in the Ville-Marie borough adjacent to the Université du Québec à Montréal campus. Opened in 1966, the station connects three of the network's four lines: the green Line 1, the orange Line 2, and the yellow Line 4, of which it serves as the western terminus. With over 12.6 million passengers recorded in 2019, it is the busiest station in the entire system. Its architecture reflects the brutalist postwar modernism that defines the STM network built during that decade. For anyone spending time in Montreal, a transfer through Berri-UQAM is essentially inevitable.
