Loschwitz Bridge

Also known as: Loschwitzer Brücke, Blue Wonder, König-Albert-Brücke

One of Saxony most iconic bridges - built 1891 to 1893 as a free-spanning steel truss across the Elbe. Its name "Blue Wonder" comes from its pale blue paintwork and the engineering wonder of crossing the river without a pier. Connects the formerly grandest Dresden suburbs Blasewitz and Loschwitz, where around 1900 some of Europe most expensive properties stood.
