Bnei Atzmon

Bnei Atzmon was an Israeli settlement within the Gush Katif bloc in the southern Gaza Strip, established in 1979. It was evacuated in the summer of 2005 as part of Israel's unilateral disengagement plan, when roughly 8,000 residents left the Gaza Strip along with the other fifteen settlements. Only ruins remain today. The site carries no visitor infrastructure but stands as a physical remnant of a defining episode in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.
