Bachir Gemayel Memorial Monument
Political HistoryMonumentMemorial Site+2
This memorial marks the site of the attack on 30 April 2009, when a man drove his car into a crowd gathered for the Koninginnedag procession in Apeldoorn while the Dutch royal family was present. Seven people were killed immediately and several more died of their injuries in the days that followed. The monument near the Julianastraat serves as a quiet place of remembrance and is documented as part of Apeldoorn's digital heritage memory project.
