Bow Road is a working commuter station on the London Underground's District and Hammersmith & City lines, sitting in Travelcard Zone 2 within the East End borough of Tower Hamlets. Its street-level building dates to 1902, when the District Railway pushed its tracks eastward, and retains enough of its original Edwardian fabric to warrant a Grade II listed status — one of the few intact early-twentieth-century station facades in east London. The DLR's Bow Church station is a short walk to the east. With around 5.8 million annual journeys, it functions purely as a neighbourhood transit stop with no visitor draw of its own.
