Bråborg Castle

The ruins of Bråborg are what remains of a royal castle built in 1590 on the shore of Bråviken bay, in the municipality of Norrköping. Constructed during the late Renaissance as part of the Swedish Crown's regional network of fortified residences, it fell into disrepair at an early stage and survives today only as fragmentary stone walls. The site is protected as a scheduled ancient monument under Swedish heritage law. It offers a quiet, uncommercialized ruin landscape directly at the waterfront — no visitor center, no entry fee, just open views over the bay.
