Bümpliz-Oberbottigen
Also known as: Statistische Bezirke 29 bis 32: Bümpliz, Oberbottigen, Stöckacker, Bethlehem, Bern Bümpliz-Oberbottigen, Bumpliz-Oberbottigen · +2
Buempliz-Oberbottigen is the great western half of Bern, the city's sixth district and by far its most populous. It bundles the dense postwar housing of Bethlehem, Buempliz and Stoeckacker with the rural fringe of Oberbottigen, where full-time farmers still work - a mix of high-rise quarter and farming village within twenty minutes of the Zytglogge by tram. Buempliz was an independent municipality until it joined Bern in 1919 and remains the city's most multicultural district.
