Cala Racó del Conill

Cala Racó del Conill — roughly 'the rabbit's hideout' — is a small, roadless limestone cove cut into the sea cliffs south of Benidorm on Spain's Costa Blanca. No signposted trail reaches it; visitors arrive either by scrambling narrow cliff paths or paddling in from the sea, which keeps the cove reliably quiet even in peak season. The water runs exceptionally clear over shallow rock formations, rewarding snorkellers with undisturbed marine life and visibility that the resort beaches nearby can rarely match. Open Mediterranean views stretch along the jagged coastline, and the contrast with Benidorm's towers just a few kilometres away gives the spot an almost dislocated, secret-world quality.
