Deutschordenskirche St. Vitus

The Deutschordenskirche St. Vitus is a Roman Catholic parish church in Ellingen, Franconia, built in the 1780s under commission from the Teutonic Order. The building blends classicist restraint with baroque decorative touches, a transitional style typical of the Order's late architectural output in the region — constructed just decades before the Teutonic Order lost its Franconian holdings during the 1809 secularisation. Listed as a protected Bavarian monument, the church remains an active parish serving several villages near the Brombachsee reservoir.
