Estadio Sausalito

Valparaíso

A historic football stadium in Viña del Mar, Chile, opened in 1929 and used as a venue during the 1962 FIFA World Cup. Still in active use near the Pacific coast.

Estadio Sausalito is the main football stadium of Viña del Mar, Chile, with a capacity of around 22,360 spectators. Opened in 1929, it was named after Sausalito, California — a sister city of Viña del Mar. The stadium gained international recognition when it served as one of the venues for the 1962 FIFA World Cup, with several group stage matches played here. Today it is used primarily for matches by local clubs and is considered one of Chile's most historically significant football venues. Its coastal location near the famous beachfront of Viña del Mar adds to its regional identity.
