Hängebrücke Irreler Wasserfälle

The suspension footbridge at the Irreler Wasserfälle spans the moss-clad rapids of the Prüm river inside the Südeifel nature park, replacing an earlier wooden walkway that was washed away by flooding. From the bridge deck visitors look directly down onto cascades tumbling over flat rock slabs — most dramatic after rainfall when the water level rises. Parking is directly across the road and the walk to the bridge takes only a few minutes, making it accessible for families. From here a 1.1-kilometre trail continues to the Teufelsschlucht gorge, though it climbs steeply and turns muddy in wet conditions.
