Prague
Renaissance hunting palace with a unique star-shaped floor plan on White Mountain near Prague, built in 1555 – a Czech national cultural monument.
The Star Summer Palace on White Mountain in Prague's Liboc district is a unique Renaissance building from 1555. Its six-pointed star floor plan – which gives the palace its name – is unparalleled among European hunting lodges. Set within the eponymous game reserve about 7 km west of the city centre, the palace forms part of a national cultural monument complex and today houses a permanent museum exhibition on Bohemian Renaissance and Baroque art.
