The city museum of San Marino

This lookout on Monte Titano is one of San Marino's most-visited vantage points, offering on clear days an unbroken sweep from the Apennine hills to the Adriatic coast some 30 kilometres away. Sitting at nearly 700 metres, the plateau sits high enough that cloud layers occasionally form below the viewing platform. Sunset is the prime visiting hour — the medieval towers of San Marino frame the western horizon, and the light shifts from gold to deep amber across the Italian countryside. The spot also serves as a convenient trailhead: alighting from the bus nearby and hiking the ridge path between all three towers takes roughly an hour and rewards with continuously shifting panoramic angles.
