Obedska bara
Belgrade
Also known as: Sungai Pulai
The Pulai is a short lowland river in the southwestern corner of Peninsular Malaysia that empties into the Johor Strait. Its estuary forms one of Southeast Asia's most important mangrove ecosystems and has been protected as a Ramsar wetland of international importance since 2003. The dense Rhizophora and Bruguiera stands here shelter mudskippers, pied imperial pigeons and the occasional dugong. Boat and kayak trips into the estuary usually start from Kukup or Gelang Patah.
