Río Indio

The Río Indio is a small river running through the municipalities of Vega Baja and Morovis in northern Puerto Rico. It flows through the Northern Karst Belt, where it has carved its course into mogotes — the rounded limestone hills characteristic of this geological zone. A tributary of the Cibuco River, the Indio rises quickly after heavy rainfall and is prone to flooding, making it a notable hydrological presence in the surrounding lowland communities.
