About Denizli

Denizli is a city of over one million people in Turkey's Aegean region and one of the country's major textile-producing centres. Its surroundings are rich in ancient history, with the archaeological sites of Hierapolis, Laodicea on the Lycus and Aphrodisias all within reach. The city itself offers everyday urban life centred around its market square, the Gültepe Cami mosque, and green spaces such as Yunus Emre Caddesi Parkı and Pelitlibağ Parkı. It serves well as a base for exploring the densely layered historical landscape of western Anatolia.
