About La Brigue

La Brigue is a small commune in the Alpes-Maritimes département of southeastern France, situated close to the Italian border in a quiet Alpine valley. With a population of around 760, it is a compact mountain settlement surrounded by the Maritime Alps. The landscape around the village includes highland pastoral areas and peaks such as Testa del Carmo and Colle della Sella. Points of interest include the Jardin Levenza, Les Cavales, a ruined sheepfold known as Bergerie en ruine, and the Colonel Jacques Millo memorial, alongside the site of San Bastian.
