About Malta

Malta is a small island nation in the central Mediterranean Sea, situated south of Sicily. It comprises three inhabited islands — Malta, Gozo, and Comino — and has been a member of the European Union since 2004. Despite its compact size, the country holds an exceptionally layered history shaped by Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, Normans, and the Knights of St. John.
