Blue Grotto

A series of sea caverns on Malta southern coast at Wied iz-Zurrieq - reachable only by boat. Minerals on the walls and sand on the cave floor turn the water a glowing turquoise, most intense from sunrise to midday. An Italian-coast-like wonder 10 kilometres from the Sliema promenade.
