15 William

15 William, originally marketed as William Beaver House, is a 161-meter residential skyscraper in Lower Manhattan that opened in 2008. At the time of its completion it was the only ground-up residential development in the Financial District, a neighborhood that had been almost exclusively commercial office space for decades. The tower represents a broader shift in the 2000s that began converting Lower Manhattan into a mixed live-work neighborhood. It is a private residential building with no public access, visible primarily as part of the dense skyline cluster around Broad Street and Wall Street.
