Almas Tower

Almas Tower is a 363-metre supertall skyscraper in Dubai's Jumeirah Lake Towers district, completed in 2009 with a sleek high-tech glass facade. Its name is the Arabic word for "diamond," a deliberate nod to its primary tenant: the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), widely regarded as the world's largest free-trade zone for diamonds and precious metals. The tower's 72 office floors house hundreds of commodity and luxury-goods firms. There is no public observation deck; the building functions as a corporate landmark marking Dubai's ambitions as a global hub for raw-materials trading.
