Business Bay

Business Bay is Dubai's high-rise mixed-use district immediately south of the Burj Khalifa, developed across nearly 6,000 hectares along an artificial 10-kilometre extension of the Dubai Creek. Conceived in the 2000s as a counterpart to Manhattan or Canary Wharf, the area packs office towers, residential skyscrapers, and hotels into one of the city's densest urban footprints. The canal promenade is the district's main public space — in the evenings, glass facades reflect across the water while rooftop bars and waterfront restaurants draw a mix of residents and visitors. Less a tourist destination than a functioning slice of contemporary Dubai, it offers a ground-level view of the emirate's ongoing urban ambition.
