The Marina Torch

The Torch is a 352-metre residential skyscraper in Dubai's Dubai Marina district, completed in 2011. Its slender, torch-like silhouette is a recognizable fixture of the densely packed Marina skyline, which lines an artificial canal basin developed from scratch in the 2000s. The tower gained international attention after fires broke out on its cladding in 2015 and again in 2017, prompting wider scrutiny of composite facade materials on high-rises. There is no public observation deck or visitor access — the building functions solely as a residential address.
