Annisquam Footbridge

The Annisquam Bridge is a wooden trestle footbridge dating to 1861, spanning Lobster Cove to connect the Gloucester neighborhood of Annisquam Village to the Cape Ann mainland via Bridgewater Street. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1983, it is one of the few surviving structures of its type along the Massachusetts coast. Access is restricted to local residents, giving the bridge an unusually quiet character largely untouched by outside visitors.
