Bradleys Head Lighthouse stands on the promontory of the same name along the northern shore of Port Jackson, Sydney's great natural harbour. Built in 1905 and still operational, the lighthouse guides vessels through one of the busiest harbour entrances in the Southern Hemisphere. Its compact, white-painted form closely resembles the nearby Robertson Point Light and blends naturally into the wooded slopes of the Mosman foreshore. The headland itself lies within the Sydney Harbour National Park, and from here the views across to the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, and the city skyline are extraordinary. A popular coastal walking trail crosses the headland, making the lighthouse a rewarding destination for hikers and sightseers alike.
