Roman civil amphitheatre of Aquincum (2nd c. CE), 6,000 capacity, 3rd District Budapest.
The Civil Amphitheatre of Aquincum was built in the 2nd century CE in the northern section of the Roman civilian city, serving alongside the larger military amphitheatre to the south. With a capacity of around 6,000 spectators, it was a significant cultural venue for Roman Pannonia. The surviving ruins are located in Budapest's 3rd District.
