Casa del Citarista
Naples
Ariassos was an ancient city in the Pisidian highlands of what is now southwestern Anatolia, situated near the modern village of Yürükbademlisi. Pisidia was a landlocked region of Asia Minor shaped by Hellenistic and later Roman influence, known for its cluster of fortified hilltop cities that resisted outside control well into the Roman period. Scattered wall remnants and architectural fragments point to occupation during the Hellenistic and Roman eras, though Ariassos remains one of the lesser-excavated Pisidian sites. The absence of systematic archaeological work means the site rewards visitors with a curiosity for ruins rather than those expecting a curated experience.
