The Ascension Parish Burial Ground is a Victorian cemetery of around six hectares in Cambridge, laid out in 1857 around a chapel that has since been secularised. Dense mature trees give the site the feel of a garden cemetery despite its urban setting. The former chapel, no longer in religious use, stands as a quiet relic of mid-Victorian parish life. The grounds offer calm walking paths away from the bustle of the university city.
