Astana Musical

The Central Concert Hall of Kazakhstan sits in the heart of Astana, directly adjacent to the Ak-Orda presidential palace. It was inaugurated on 15 December 2009 — Kazakhstan's Independence Day — by President Nursultan Nazarbayev, a gesture that embedded the venue in the country's national identity from the outset. Operating under the name Astana Musical, the hall stages a broad program of musical theatre, orchestral concerts, and touring productions, making it one of the capital's principal cultural venues.
