Barys Arena

Barys Arena is a multi-purpose indoor venue that opened in Astana in 2015 as the home of KHL ice hockey club Barys Astana, replacing the older Sports Palace of Kazakhstan. The KHL is the premier ice hockey league in Eurasia, and Barys Astana serves as Kazakhstan's flagship club in that competition. The arena hosts regular-season and playoff games before crowds of several thousand, and doubles as a concert and events venue outside the hockey calendar. Attending a Barys home game is the most direct way to experience Astana's live sports culture.
