Autostadt

The Autostadt is Volkswagen AG's flagship delivery center, museum complex, and leisure park located directly beside the main VW plant on the Mittelland Canal in Wolfsburg. Opened in 2000 alongside Germany's Expo, it has handed over more than four million new vehicles to their owners — a spectacle visitors can watch live from the site's iconic glass car towers. Individual pavilions showcase the design philosophy and engineering history of VW Group brands including Audi, Porsche, and Lamborghini. Beyond the car handover experience, the landscaped grounds and canal setting offer a full day out, with restaurants, rotating exhibitions, and driving demonstrations that appeal especially to families.
