Bad Salzschlirf station

Bad Salzschlirf station is the classicist-style terminus building of the small Hessian spa town of Bad Salzschlirf, listed as a protected cultural monument. It sits on the Gießen–Fulda main line and was once the junction for a branch line to Niederjossa, which operated from 1898 until its closure in 1989. The modest but carefully proportioned building is a quiet reminder of the era when spa towns depended on the railway to bring in health-seeking visitors from across the region.
