Gerolstein station

Gerolstein station is a listed neogothic railway building on the Eifel line in Gerolstein, Rhineland-Palatinate, constructed during the Wilhelmine era. It once served as a significant junction where the Eifelquerbahn and Westeifelbahn branched off, but both lines were closed during the 20th century, stripping the station of its former importance. Today it is the only remaining station in the town, still served by trains running between Cologne and Trier. Its neogothic brick facade — pointed arches, decorative gables — makes it a notable surviving example of imperial-era station architecture in the Eifel region.
