Delmenhorst station
Railway History
Chūbu-Tenryū Station is a small regional stop on JR Central's Iida Line, opened in 1934 in rural Tenryū-ku district of Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture. Its main claim to wider attention was as the home of Sakuma Rail Park, an outdoor railway museum that displayed historic locomotives and rolling stock from 1991 until its closure in 2009. With the museum gone, the station has returned to quiet obscurity — a minor stop of interest mainly to railway history enthusiasts.
