DB Museum Koblenz

The DB Museum Koblenz is a railway museum that opened on 21 April 2001 as the first satellite location of the main DB Museum in Nuremberg. Run entirely by volunteers under the Bahn-Sozialwerk foundation, it grew out of a hobbyist group dedicated to preserving retired Deutsche Bundesbahn rolling stock from scrapping. The permanent exhibition features historic steam and diesel locomotives alongside meticulously restored salon carriages. Special events bring some of the vehicles back to life in operating parades, making it a worthwhile stop for families and rail-history enthusiasts alike.
