Eitorf station

Eitorf station sits in the centre of the small municipality of Eitorf in the Rhein-Sieg district and opened in 1859 as part of the Siegstrecke line built by the Cöln-Mindener Eisenbahn, making it one of the older stations in the region. Today it serves as a regular commuter stop with hourly RE 9, S 12 and S 19 services; the RE 9 runs additional peak-hour trains toward Cologne in the morning and Siegen in the afternoon. A former goods-loading ramp remains on site but has long been out of service.
