Hachinohe Station
Railway Station
Goryōkaku Station is a working railway stop within the city of Hakodate on Hokkaidō, opened in 1911 during the late Meiji period. It takes its name from the Goryōkaku fortress, the 19th-century star-shaped fort located roughly two kilometers to the east, which is the actual landmark of the area. For most visitors the station serves purely as a transit point en route to the fortress, and has no notable architectural or tourist attributes of its own.
