Ibbenbüren-Esch station
Ibbenbüren-Esch station sits in the Püsselbüren district on the Löhne–Rheine line and remains the last active freight station within the Ibbenbüren city limits. It served as the junction for the colliery railway of the Ibbenbüren coal mine, one of Germany's last hard-coal operations until its closure in 2018. Today it handles freight traffic for local industry and the Uffeln port — a quiet remnant of Westphalian mining history.
