Botanischer Garten

The Botanical Garden of Osnabrück University occupies a former Muschelkalk limestone quarry in the Westerberg district, and the exposed rock faces and terraced slopes give the site a character unlike a conventional park. Opened in 1984, it serves the university's biology and chemistry department as an outdoor teaching and research facility, with plant collections curated for scientific purposes. Admission is free, and the garden stays open until 8 pm from April through September — making it a quiet afternoon retreat with genuine educational depth.
