Porta Westfalica station

The listed station building at Porta Westfalica sits on the right bank of the Weser river at the dramatic gorge where the river cuts through the Wiehengebirge hills. Built during the imperial era, the structure served as a stop on the Hanover–Hamm railway line. After Deutsche Bahn sold the property, the building was repurposed entirely: since 2026 it has been home to the Adiamo Dance Club alongside event agencies — a telling example of adaptive reuse of disused German railway architecture. The surrounding Weser valley offers access to the Hausberge and Barkhausen districts of Porta Westfalica.
