Hamburg-Rissen station is the western terminus of the S1 S-Bahn line, serving the quiet residential district of Rissen on Hamburg's western edge near the Schleswig-Holstein border. The stop dates to 1883 and today functions primarily as a commuter hub for the surrounding villa neighbourhood.
