Tokorozawa Station

Tokorozawa Station is the main transit hub of Tokorozawa city in Saitama Prefecture, roughly 30 km west of central Tokyo. Opened in 1895 during the Meiji era, it is operated exclusively by the private railway company Seibu Tetsudō. Its network significance is specific: it is the only station where passengers can transfer between the Seibu Shinjuku Line and the Seibu Ikebukuro Line, making it an indispensable interchange for around 100,000 daily commuters despite sitting well outside the Tokyo city limits.
