Alvik is an above-ground interchange station in western Stockholm where the Green Line metro (line 18) connects with the Nockebybanan and Tvärbanan tram lines. Opened in 1952 and located alongside the Drottningholmsvägen expressway in the Västerort district, it handles around 38,100 passengers on an average weekday, making it one of the busiest transfer points in the Stockholm transit network. Fully wheelchair accessible, it functions primarily as a practical commuter hub for residents of the city's western neighborhoods.
