Varel railway station

Varel railway station is a functioning regional stop in the Lower Saxon town of Varel, and the only surviving original station building from the opening era of the Oldenburg–Wilhelmshaven line. While the line itself dates to the second half of the 19th century, all other stations along the route have since been rebuilt or replaced. The modest brick building offers a rare, unaltered glimpse of early railway architecture in northwestern Germany.
